History

My relationship with wines began in 2002, or perhaps earlier when my father taught me to appreciate them. In 2009 I abandoned my first shared winery and decided to launch my solo project.

This is how I, a city girl with no family winemaking tradition, and with scarce financial resources, thanks to my former winemaker, Diego Fernández Pons, and to those who believed in me, I can make this dream come true.

With passion and experience in the sector, I am starting to make my own project a reality “il·lusionante”.

My wines are a true reflection of my personality and feelings, but they also express the terroir and the varieties.

After 15 years of experience as a professional Sommelier, and linked to winemaking through my time in several Valencian wineries, I want to tell my stories through carefully selected assemblages.

Philosophy

Our production process begins at the end. What do we want to communicate with our wines? Once the message has been defined, we look for the varieties that help us tell our story.

Thanks to the wealth of grapes in Utiel and Valencia, we found the perfect genetics and dedicated ourselves to its cultivation.

Our raw material is the land, the sea, the wind, the rain, the sun… and all this, together with the nature of the grape, helps us to produce a wine that already has a special character before it is born.

No element is left to chance. Everything has a why, and everything must relate to that message: the soul of the wine.

Within this philosophy there is no place for the use of pesticides or the mistreatment of animals. We work the vineyards by letting nature do its work in the best way it knows how.

Our greatest effort and satisfaction lies in bringing together the tradition of the local winegrowers with our modern and enthusiastic vision.

You have to drink it to understand it.

Varieties and Terroirs

My project is based on two different terroirs: Atlantic and Mediterranean.

The white wines are made from grapes grown in the south of Valencia. A Mediterranean climate that ripens the grapes, but a land that was submerged in the sea centuries ago, and as such keeps the salinity between its corners.

The reds, whose varieties are grown in the north of Valencia at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, in Utiel, reflect a marked Atlantic climate.

Thanks to the rain and the wind that comes from La Mancha, they have a markedly northern character.

After discovering the vineyard that best reflects this story, I found the perfect terroir: the Mediterranean. Enthusiasm is the energy we need to do something.

This wine was made in the Pandemic, when we all had time to think and meditate.

I had always wanted to make a rosé in the style of the wines of Provence and the setting was perfect for it.

70% Marselan and 30% Tempranillo, grapes from 17 year old vineyards in the Valls dels Alforins (Casa Corones) certified in organic farming.

MALCRIAT“I owe the name of this wine to my children, a source of inspiration.
Malcriat is youth, fun, joy, carefree life…”

It represents the freshness of youth, fun, carefree life. The name means spoilt, like my children.

They were three very naughty children between 3 and 6 years old when I started the project.

MELIC“The Melic is the navel that connects us to our mother.,
just as the Bobal joins us to our Mother Earth.”

Bobal is the native grape of Utiel, the region where I start with wine. This grape is the motto here.
Like the navel that connects us with our mother, Bobal connects us with the mother earth of Utiel.

I had a difficult time when my father died. My pillars had fallen. My head can’t think.
I decided to make two wines to tell the story of the grief I had in my heart. The result was the battle of two grapes in bottle.

30% Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows the depth of the roots and the strength of the terroir.
20% Merlot from unirrigated plots.

And rock as background music is the best option.”

Two queens like Verdejo and Viognier at the same level. It means risk, adventure, zest for life.

This wine is a white wine with the strength of red wine. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
